One day, returning from a trip, I was sitting at a train station waiting for a train.
The clock showed that there were still two hours to go, so I decided to pass the time with a book.
However, my reading was interrupted by an unexpected question.
- Excuse me, can you tell me if this seat is free? - I heard a soft voice.
When I looked up, I saw a woman with a huge suitcase and slightly disheveled hair. I nodded, and she gratefully lowered herself down beside me.
Thus began our conversation.
Her name was Elizabeth, and she was traveling to visit relatives
The conversation flowed easily and casually, and it seemed as if the train would never come.
When boarding was announced, we exchanged phone numbers.
Thus began our friendship, which grew into something more.
It was a wonderful 6 years together until her illness separated us forever
Sometimes chance encounters are more life-changing than we can imagine.
I never realized before that a simple meeting at the train station could give you a whole life.
