the radio was playing softly in the background as we sat together on the couch the song changed to something slow and romantic and without a word she stood up and held out her hand, dance with me, she said her voice barely above a whisper i hesitated for a second before taking her hand she pulled me close her head resting against my chest as we swayed to the music the room seemed to disappear leaving just the sound of the song and the feeling of her in my arms it wasn’t planned but it felt like the kind of moment you wait your whole life for
