the stolen tractor

when i was about 12, my cousin and i decided to “borrow” my grandpa’s tractor.we thought we’d take it for a spin around the field, but it didn’t go as planned. first, we couldn’t figure out how to stop it. then we hit a fence.grandpa saw the whole thing from the porch. he didn’t even yell — just shook his head and said, “boys will be boys.”we spent the rest of the day fixin the fence, but damn… it was worth it.
